This is a very pleasant feeling if I could get in IIT. From childhood, I have a dream to get a top position in world. I was so impressed by Kalpana Chawla when she went into space. Her hard work and great determination took her to that position. Then I decided that I will be also ?Aeronautical Engineer?.
I come from a middle class family. From Std VI to X I have lived at Navodaya. Navodaya is a very good place to learn and live. I was not interested in coming to Navodaya for Std XI but I came here because of my parents. We had heard that the Dakshana Coaching exam would not be conducted for our batch. But after 15 day we were asked to submit our forms. At that time I was so happy. I thought that I got a chance to fulfil my dreams. Our exam was held on 19th July. On previous night, I could not sleep silently. 9 to 10 times I woke up at midnight. But my friend have always supported me. When I did the paper well, I was confident that I would be selected for IIT coaching. But when the result was not declared on 7th August then I was afraid. But after 10 days the result was declared and I was chosen for coaching.
I was really very happy when I heard this news. This is a turning point of my life. I am really very thankful to Dakshana who has given such a chance to make our future bright.
I was really very happy when I came to Bangalur. Obviously there is a feeling of sadness. Sadness that we are coming far away from home. But I think this is natural. I was so nervous about how the JNV school would be. How will the teachers teach us? But here everything is different. All the girls are so co-operative. School is also so nice. All teachers, Principal mam are always taking care of us. TIME faculty is so so so nice. They teach us so nicely.
At the inauguration function of IIT coaching, D.O. Sir of Bangalore region had come. They advised us so nicely. They gave us confidence that we can get into IIT. They suggested that we fix our aim and do all the work for that aim. Set your mind and adjust with others.
Then I decided that I will do all hard work and use this golden opportunity. My parents are also very happy. I wish that I will become a successful engineer. I have confidence that I will get a very good college. Now my life is settled very well. There are so many examples before us like Dr Abdul Kalam who is my ideal.
I want to do work for India. Our country is a developing country. There are so many problems before India. I will also help to overcome this problem.
I just wish that our coaching will be successful and we all can get into IIT. My parents are very proud of me. I think this is real glory for any teacher or any parent that they are recognised because of their students.
Again, I am really very thankful to you and Dakshana for giving me such a chance. We assure you that we shall do our best.
My favourite thought is ? ?Success is not a matter of desire but the product of hard work?.
