JNV Wardha I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
I'd like to be a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT because today our country is progressing towards vision 2020. There are clear indications that India will be a strong economic power in the world. There is no doubt that by 2020, our country will be the 3rd strongest power of the world. In the 1990-91 period India was an economically backwards country. Then we became more progressive and the development of the last 15 years has surpassed expectations, due in part to an open economy and trade policy. Though we are developing rapidly, it does not mean that everything is fine in our country. We have to work hard on all fields. We must evaluate our progress positively and negatively.
Our country has become a big international trade center in the world over the last 3 years, and is now giving loans to the international monetary fund and financial assistance to other small countries. Indian doctors, engineers and technicians not only work in our country but are contributing to the development of other countries. Yet, 23 crores of our population is still deprived of their basic needs. During our development process, we must attend to our painful problems.
The present century is India?s and China?s. The contribution of our youth is vital. These young people have the hands and head for the hard and creative ideas. We must utilize their strength without losing time, otherwise we will have to take a step back. We can overcome all our national problems with their youth and will power. The success of vision 2020 depends upon the education and training that is given to the youth. But in India, the educational standards and institutions are not upto mark except for the IITs. For vision 2020, we require skilled engineers, doctors, technicians, and thinkers, etc? Can anyone else beside the IITs accept this challenge? At present, all the IIT scholars are trying their best. All IIT are doing remarkable work in building India as the third strongest power. Only IIT scholars can become the bricks of a strong India and fulfill the vision 2020. This is why I want to attend IIT, with my dreams and my ambition.
The former president of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam advised the youth of the nation to have high dreams and march towards vision 2020. To fulfill the expectations of myself and my country, I want to become a Dakshana scholar. I believe Dakshana is the only way to reach our long term achievement. In my opinion, Dakshana has opened the door of progress and aspirations to the young generation of the country. By making ambitious youth scholars, Dakshana is playing a significant role in the field of education.
