Myself Komal Ramdas Gadekar. My father is a serviceman. I have an elder sister and a younger brother. My sister passed the 12th examination from Navodaya Vidyalaya last year. She also appeared for the Dakshana selection test when she was in class XI but she was not selected. My father had full faith in me. He told me that I will have to pass the Dakshana selection test when I will be in 11th standard. When I was in 10th standard, we got to know that Dakshana coaching will not be provided anymore. My father was disappointed.
When I was in 11th standard, I was lucky to have been selected in the Dakshana selection test.I appeared for the Dakshana entrance examination. My father always enquired about the day when the results of the test would be out. Initially, I told him that I have not been selected as the selection for Bangalore batch was over by that time. My principal sir had told me that two children from our region had been selected. I felt that I would be selected but it did not happen. I thought that my father had so much faith in me but I could not live upto it. When I look at any job and find it difficult to achieve, I remember the trust my parents have in me and move ahead to complete the task.I am not afraid of nay difficult task and try to complete.
I want to become an IIT engineer. One has to work very hard for it. I know about this because Dakshana coaching is being carried out in our JNV for the last three years.We are unlucky that we are not receiving this coaching in our school. But I feel all that happens is for good and we have to lose something to achieve something.
I know that for every achievement hard work is necessary and for achieving my goal I am ready to do hard work. But only hard work is not important. So with hardwork I want the help from Dakshana for achieving my goal. And I hope that Dakshana will be helpful for all of us.
