At first , I would like to thank Dakshana from the bottom of my heart that it has given me a chance to undergo coaching for IIT ? JEE ? 2011.I would have never been able to take this coaching myself because my family?s financial condition is very bad. I belong to small village in Raipur, Chattisgarh. Apart from , my family includes my mother , two brothers and one sister. My father has expired since a long time because of which there is no one to take care of our house. My elder brother goes to work. He left his studies after completing his 10th standard.
I am the only member of family who has continues with his education. This is the reason why the reason why they hope that I would support my family. I wasn?t to fulfil their dreams. It is with their blessings that I want to make it to the top most institute of our country , IIT. I trust in my hard work and am sure that I will make it to the IIT one day. I keep thinking that even if I make it to the IIT, what would be my rank. I start losing confidence once I start thinking about all these things. I get irritated when I see good books in the hands of children of lower standard. I see them have all the things required for studies about which I cannot even think of. If I ever needed a book , I had to arrange it with great difficulty. One day when I was studying in class , my teacher , Mr . N .P. Navdev said that I will have to go to appear for the Dakshana entrance test. He asked to work hard and be successful in the test. I could not believe this. I did not want to lose the opportunity and started preparing very hard for the exam. I spent hours selecting books in the library and sat in one corner to study all of them. I received a lot of help from my teachers as well. They showed me the right path and at the same time encouraged me to study also. When I appeared for the exam , more than me , my friends and teachers believed that I would make it. Today , I am far away from my house and am undergoing coaching that is being provided by you. I promise you that I will make it to the IIT in 2011 because this is my dream. I belive that a dream is not that which we see while we are asleep.The dream to achieve something does not allow us to sleep. Being born in poverty is not my mistake but if I spend my entire life in poverty, it will surely be my mistake. The biggest mistake would be if I deviate from my aim. I know I will be successful because my success is not in anyone else?s hands. It is only by following the right path and by receiving the right encouragement that one is successful. I am receiving this from you. Right from childhood my education has been funded by Government of India. From class 1 to 5 , I received help from state government and the from class 6 ? 10 from central government. Now I am receiving help from you for my IIT coaching. I feel that it is my duty to do something for my country. I want to serve my country by becoming a great scientist. My idol is A P J Abdul Kalam. I want to take my country forward in the field of science and technology.
