My Story :
My name is Kapil Kumar Xalxo.When I went Navodaya in class 6th, I had never imagined that I would ever go to the JNV.I cried a lot and then my mother explained me that I need to be brave and stay at the JNV. I can never forget this thing. I can say whether days passed by or my luck started shining. I could not believe the fact that I got 95% in 10th standard. Then my teacher told me that I have to appear for Dakshana test. I did not know much about Dakshana and only knew that It provided coaching for IIT exam. I had never thought of making it to the IIT. When I was going to appear for the test , I wished that I get selected and after appearing felt that I might get selected but then again thought that it is difficult for me to get selected when students from all over India will be appearing for the test. But I was lucky to make it. I felt as if I am flying high in the sky.
Initially I enjoyed my stay in Bangalore but then I started missing home. I used to call up everyday but now I am not doing that anymore. My aim is to make it to the IIT and provide my mother and sister with all happiness and comfort.
Now I would like to tell about my family. I lost my father when I was 4 years old and could not feel his loss much at that time. I always thought my family includes only my mother and sister apart from me. My mother is a primary school teacher and both my sisters are working. Now only I am left. I will try to be successful so that I can provide all the happiness to my family which I have always wanted to give them. I will give my first salary to my mother.
If all of this is possible, it is only because of Dakshana. I believe in God and I will become an IITian. I will not forget for the next two years that this is the turning point of my life. I have never seen my paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother but have seen my maternal grandfather. I want to do work in life looking at which people will say that this is Kapil. I want to tell you that I wanted to be a cricketer but have come to Dakshana. But I have no complain against this . I will play cricket once I get through IIT.
I am unable to understand the fact as to why you are spending so much money on us. But Dakshana will prove good for an ordinary child.
If I turn out to become a very rich man, then I will try taking your place. I want people to recognize me when I walk on the road. I want to do everything for my mother. She is my idol. I will try that I take all her sorrows and give her happiness in return.
I never thought that I am so special that I can come to Dakshana. But I believe God wanted that I should come here and make it to the IIT.I believe in God and my fate completely. I got 95% in 10th boards and two point 1 certificates which was unexpected. My mother was very happy to see that. Now I am waiting for the day when the result of IIT would be out. This is the day when I want to see my mother?s smile and the happiness of my family members.
If Dakshana wouldn?t have been there , I would not have even dreamt of AIEEE.I will be thankful to Dakshana throughout my life that it has given me a platform where I can test my hard work. I am thankful that for the first time , I got an opportunity to write about my life. I am thankful to Dakshana that it considered me special and has helped me reach here. Now is the testing time for my hard work and if I am successful , it will be because of Dakshana, God and my family. I would like to make you talk with my mother someday and also meet you every month.
