I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT because my main goal was to get through IIT. I am from a rural background and my father is 51 year old normal farmer. We are leading a middle class life today. In the competitive world today, it is difficult to get into IIT without formal coaching. Also, good IIT coaching is available at big cities like Bangalore, but I cannot afford the coaching as I do not have a good economical background. When I heard about Dakshana, I was very happy. I was eligible for the screening exam for the coaching of IIT with all respects. I contacted our principal to attend the exam. He gave me permission to attend. From that day I constructed my short term vision to pass the screening exam for the IIT. I daily sponsored my own time for preparation. I am very interested in science and maths and the syllabus for the exam was basic science and maths up to 10th standard level. My parents also encouraged me to study. The exam was on August 12h. The paper was quite easy. The physics part was the most difficult. I am very thankful to Dakshana foundation as I have passed this exam. I would like to impart hard work to get into IIT. This is the only thing in front of me.
