Abhishek Kumar Antony
JNV Varanasi I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
I, Abhishek Kumar Antony, a Dakshana Scholar am feeling very glad to write these words. Firstly, I want to tell about myself and my family.
My date of birth is 2nd July 1993 and the place is Jaunpur, the place which I like the most. My nickname is Antony called by all my family members. I think that I am a very innocent and intelligent boy, as a student and can achieve all things which I want in life. One of the example is that I am a Dakshana Scholar.
My father is the most adorable father in the world. He is like a Iron man who has worked very hard so that I can reach to the top. This inspiration, dedication and hard work inspires me. By business, he is a labourer and has no source of good income. That?s why my family background is very low.
My mother, whom I love very much, is a very inspiring woman and always tells me to do best in my life. I have an elder brother and younger sister. They are also like me.
Now, I want to tell about my life. When I was in 3rd standard my father admitted me to a private school from where I learnt to compete. And from there I went to Central Hindu School in sixth class and there also I learnt very much. From there I went to Navodaya Vidyalaya, Varanasi in the Ninth Standard. There I concentrated my mind that I have to be a successful man, so that my family background level rises. And there, I worked hard and was able to come here.
When I heard that I have to go for Dakshana examination, I assured myself that I have to succeed in Dakshana Examination. My paper was very fine and I passed the examination with flying colours.
On 21st August, when I heard that I had been selected for Dakshana Foundation whose aim is to give foundation course to poor background students so that they can crack the IIT, I became very happy. All my family members, mostly my mother and father, and school members blessed me. I was very happy when I came to Bangalore. But after some days I began to miss my mother, my father and my family. After some days I comforted myself that I have to be dedicated to my study and then I remembered my family less.
I am very pleased with Dakshana programme that has started building up the future of poor students and trying their best to send them to IIT colleges. In my whole life I will be thankful to the Dakshana Programme because it is because of it that I am able to crash IIT-JEE 2011.
In future, I will always try to help these type of programmes so that poor students also able to go in Iit and make their future golden.
In the last, I want that at least one time please send us to our home.
