I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT because I am a student from a small village and my economic background is poor. I received 93% marks in 10th standard and all the students who got 90% and above in my school joined private institutes, which cost more than Rs 1,000 per month. I am not able to spend that much money for private coaching. When I was in 2nd class my father died. My mother works as a daily laborer in our small village and I don?t have any elder brothers. I am the eldest son of the house. I have an elder sister that was married over 10 years ago. I have a younger brother who is studying in 7th class in a government high school in our village. In 2nd class I started to work on my own ideas. Of course my parents and teachers encouraged me to study well. I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar because I do not have the fees for private IIT coaching. I'd like to attend IIT to overcome my problems. If I get into IIT my life and family position will be in one order. I will do the compulsory hard work to get into IIT.
