In 2010 first prize was won by a City GDL student, Anita Davies, (who went on to take the BPTC with us). Sutton (1914-2002), former Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court, Denver Law School alumnus, and a man deeply devoted to the international rule of law, endowed an annual award to encourage and reward DU Law students for scholarly research in international law. The competition is exceptional, as the caliber of entries included on the shortlist this year illustrated and I can only imagine this will become even more evident in coming years. 2020 Winners, What’s in a name? Essays must be submitted in English and be typewritten (double spaced) in 12 pt font on 8.5” x 11” paper with 1” margins.
