how long does it take to write 40 pages article

Mind you I’m constantly writing about complex subjects I know naff all about. Pick one.

But I happened upon your site cause I was wondering how long it takes to get it to the publishing state. Especially now that I know you were at my sister’s wedding! So, I stick with the articles and topics that I know I can make good money for the time it takes me… I try and make at least $20/ hour writing articles, otherwise I might as well get a different job…. How long does it REALLY take you to write an article?

Often I do this because I’m worried about justifying the time to clients, many of whom are extremely cost driven. So that's what, 250 words a page or thereabouts. usually a min to min and half per page... so 30 min to a little over an hour, make that up to two mins if that textbook has minimal pictures and small print. Sometimes when clients look at the few sentences I hand them, I know they are wondering what they are paying for.

In the case of the 500 words, it was mostly a matter of “google and rewrite” or “blog what you know.” In the case of the 800 words it was “find and interview five people on an obscure topic, then draft an article and then revise it twice.”. How long does it take to get a piece to publishing?
