I am Premsai Tirkey, a student of class 11th. I have scored 80% marks in all my classes so far as a result of my hard work. So I am really confident that I will crack the IIT JEE entrance examination with the help of Dakshana Foundation. My father is a farmer, so he can?t help me with this tough examination. My family?s economic condition is sufficient only to fulfill our basic requirements. In fact, my two brothers are illiterate due to this very reason. My other two brothers had left their studies after passing the 9th class. I am the only person who has given the 10th board exam. This is because of my selection in Jawahar Navodaya Vidhalaya. After 12th, my path to further studies is uncertain.. My parents are uneducated so they could not support me in studying. And when I lived at home, I did not get the environment suitable for studies.

Morning to evening, I was engaged in doing some domestic work. Then in the night, we have no electricity. So, Dakshana will be a God-gift for me, which will help me fight poverty? I was very impressed after reading a book written by Mr. Mohnish Pabrai about the Dakshana planning. Nowadays, there is high demand for IITians, so I want to become a good IIT engineer. I want to fulfill the dream that my parents saw when they sent me to study.

They wanted me to build a better life than other people of our background, and I can do it. And then, I also want to contribute towards building a better India.
