I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend IIT because I belong to small village in Pune district of the Maharastra. Since Pune is near from me, I have always compared me and my village?s life with those was live in Pune. Technology seems to be very far from the poor peoples. I want to become an aeronautical engineer. I have seen this dream since I read the book of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. On the last page of it, there was a title how to become an Aeronautical engineer and I got list of institutions which offer this engineering. There was only IIT?s and one or two others.

From that day, I decided to get admission in IIT. In our JNV, Dakshana foundation started the 2 years coaching for those who were economically backward. I felt very bad, since students from whole Maharastra and Gujarat, were taking coaching for IIT-JEE but though it was my vidyalaya, I was not able to attend the class. At that time, I as well as my friend Yogesh decieded to the year and study for IIT in the Pune. Just after the board exams, I moved a step in this direction and started preparation for IIT-JEE with few books now I have good opportunity to study IIT-JEE and fulfill my dreams with Dakshana.
