I am extremely touched and impressed by the intentions and core theme/philosophy of Dakshana. It is indeed commendable that in today’s age when people are self-centered and do not think beyond themselves, there is still someone who wishes to give back to society, in whatever form it maybe possible. I find it a very noble beginning and I wish the whole Dakshana family a grand success. I do hope and believe that the fruits of the seeds being sowed now would reap rich dividends and the Dakshana scholar’s would one day give back to society what they have got through Dakshana. I am sure it would cause a ripple effect and we can someday see many such “GIVERS’ among us.
Would like to end with a quote of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote about success in life-
“To laugh often and much To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
