Dakshana's mission is to focus on investing in the delivery of world-class education opportunities for exceptionally gifted children from impoverished rural backgrounds in India.

At Dakshana, the beneficiary of aid today is the donor of tomorrow. It is thus also our mission to demonstrate this unique paradigm in the non-profit world by eventually securing virtually all our future funding and growth needs with voluntary contributions from our beneficiary base.

We presently focus on preparing students for IIT-JEE and other Engineering Entrance examinations and exclusively target brilliant but economically and socially underprivileged rural and semi-urban students. There is presently no alternative natural source of funding available for these deserving students to pursue their dreams.

As these Dakshana Scholars break the shackles of poverty and join the affluent, they would have a moral obligation (but no legal obligation) to give 10% of their earnings back to the foundation to support a growing number of Dakshana Scholars every year.

Dakshana have started delivering on this mission and presently have 650+ Dakshana Scholars who are undergoing training which are fully funded by Dakshana at more than 8 locations across India.
